As part of the expansion to the Wayfarer site, Onyx has purchased and is awaiting delivery of a brand new Jeol 400MHz NMR spectrometer capable of running a range of nuclei (1H, 13C, 19F and 31P) and experiments.
Alongside its routine use for reaction monitoring and impurity control, the machine will also support characterisation studies where 2D experiments are used to support the formal identification of API’s and impurities.
1H NMR assay is also a common technique used in early development when reference standards are not available. As a modern NMR instrument, the software is fully GMP compliant allowing us to use rapid NMR monitoring on all GMP projects, which is a technique not available to the majority of commercial API suppliers.
